Frightening!?
November, 2014

Greetings!

I talk to a lot of people and this month we seemed to focus on their work, what they enjoy and how they work with their customers. Some are happy in their work - the phrase "If you enjoy what you do you won't work a day in your life" comes to mind. Others struggle to get through each day.

The common thread seems to be that those who are living their life and getting paid for their work seem to be more content than those who work to earn a living and then live their lives. In the case of the latter, there's an inherent inconsistency and trying to find a balance can be exhausting.

Two types of people, doing the same jobs, with completely different outcomes. That tells me the difference is in the eye of the beholder. In the spirit of Halloween, is it a monster or a kid having fun?

Seeing kids,

Insurance Tip: For those younger than 65, November 15 is when the Marketplace opens and we'll know what health insurance plans will be offered for 2015. Enrolling before December 15 will mean an effective date of January 1. The ACA plans on the Marketplace have two advantages, Preventive Care with a $0 copay and Subsidies depending on family income. Having coverage also avoids having to pay a tax penalty. Some people are concerned about having to pay a $5000 or $6000 deductible to get an affordable premium. In those cases they should consider adding an Indemnity Plan that pays them cash if they have a hospital stay or outpatient procedure. If you know someone who needs expert help with their coverage decisions have them give me a call at 847-502-2663. There's no cost or obligation.
