Landmark Pick of the Week
London, 1962. Two teenage girls-Ginger and Rosa (Elle Fanning and Alice Englert)-are inseparable; they play truant together, discuss religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives bigger than their mothers' frustrated domesticity. But, as the Cold War meets the sexual revolution, and the threat of nuclear holocaust escalates, the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered-by the clash of desire and the determination to survive.
Actor Alessandro Nivola will appear in person on Friday, March 15 for a Q&A after the 7:45pm show.

PICKS OF THE WEEK
If you need a movie fix this St. Paddy's Day, then head on over to the Aero Theatre for either a matinee screening of DARBY O'GILL AND THE LITTLE PEOPLE or later that evening, for the absolute delights of John Ford's THE QUIET MAN with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara.
This Wednesday, Larry Edmund's Bookshop will host the legendary Mamie Van Doren, who will be reading from her autobiography. PLAYING THE FIELD. They expect a full house for this event and they recommend pre-ordering the book from them if you plan on attending.

A FIERCE GREEN FIRE
A Fierce Green Fire tells stories of environmental activism-people trying to save the planet, their homes, the future. Unfolding in five acts, the documentary chronicles grassroots and global movements building over five decades; connects all the causes; explores how we got here and where we're going. It is the first film to create a big-picture overview of the environmental movement, bring together all its parts and eras from conservation to climate change.
Van Jones, globally recognized, award-winning pioneer in environmental protection, clean-energy economy, and human rights, and one of five narrators in the film, will appear in person on Friday, March 15 for a Q&A after the 7:30pm show. Director Mark Kitchell will appear in person on Saturday, March 16 for a Q&A after the 7:30pm show.
