Covenant Intercessors Needed
Committed Prayer Warriors for This Kingdom Work
There are many things our core team and our ministry need as we launch this new work in Central Florida, but the single greatest need is true, daily intercessory prayer. We know that many of you are praying for us regularly. That said, we are seeking a few folks who will sign a covenant with us annually to pray strategically for our team and ministry every single day. For those who make such a covenant, we will provide several confidential prayer updates every week so you know how best to pray. What's more, we'll also covenant to pray for you!
Are you interested in becoming such a partner? Contact John Kimball for more information at office@palmwoodchurch.com or (321) 348-0020.

Meet the Team
Michael and Denise Brinkley, David, Caleb, Micah and Evan
Michael Brinkley serves as a Pastor at Palmwood Church, assisting John Kimball as Lead Planter and overseeing some critical components of evangelism and discipleship. He writes:
I was born and raised in the City of Suffolk, Virginia (the original home of Planters Peanuts). My parents faithfully took me to Cypress Chapel Christian Church each Sunday. I joined the Air Force right after high school and served as an intelligence operations specialist for 11 years. While in the service God showed me the world. I lived in Japan, England, Italy, Kuwait, and lastly in North Carolina before I got out of service to start attending Bible College. That's when I met John Kimball who was the pastor of Cypress Chapel at the time. He helped disciple me along the Lord's path for my life.
In 2000 God gave me a beautiful gift, my wife Denise. In 2002 we had our first son, David. At two months old we boarded a plane for Japan and served there as missionaries for 2 years. When we arrived back to America God appointed me as pastor of Eure Christian Church (where I currently serve). We didn't come back from Japan empty handed, Denise was carrying inside her our second son, Caleb (who is now 9). A few years later our precious Micah (now 7) was born. The Lord led me back to school for seminary where I studied online through Liberty University where I got my Masters in Pastoral Counseling.
2013 has been an interesting year. It was in August that God clearly directed us to join the Palmwood Church plant in Oviedo. At the end of the month our 4th son, Evan, was born to us. Evan is growing quickly and staying extremely healthy though he is handled continuously by one of his excited brothers or parents. God has certainly multiplied His blessings in our home.
We are excited about being part of the of the Palmwood Church team and what God is already doing in Oviedo.
And the rest of us are excited to have the Brinkleys as part of the core team! |
Our Vision
Palmwood Church's Heart for Our Area
The Vision of Palmwood Church is to impact Oviedo and its surrounding communities through:
- Restoration - Living so that we restore trust in the local Church, its leaders and its people
- Transformation - Impacting the lives around us with the love, grace and truth of Jesus so that we all become more like Him together
- Hospitality - Welcoming people into our Church, our groups and our homes so they experience a real sense of belonging and community
- Multiplication - Reproducing this vision through our own lives, through the people we touch, and ultimately throughout the community at large
Palmwood Church: Loving God Extravagantly. Loving People with Humility. Mentoring Others to Do the Same.
