IAWF would like to congratulate member and film producer Marjaneh Moghimi on her film Radio Dreams winning the Hivos Tiger Award for Best Film at Rotterdam's International Film Festival Rotterdam. Marjaneh is a true advocate and pioneer for Iranian and Iranian-American filmmaking and cross-cultural bridge- building. She has produced films for acclaimed international directors such as Bahman Kiarostami (Infidels, Kamancheh, Pilgrimage, Persian Gardens), Michael Apted (Power of the Game), Justine Shapiro (Our Summer in Tehran) and Mitra Farahani (Behjat Sadr, Fifi Howls from Happiness). She also served as the production manager for Jana and Baladoor the first shadow-play by Iran's foremost playwright and director Bahram Beyzaie. Marjaneh is also the founder and director of Butimar Productions, a San Francisco-based production company dedicated to preserving the cultural traditions of the East. The 10th Women's Leadership Conference in San Diego is sold out!


Thank you to all who purchased tickets and will be in attendance at the 10th Women's Leadership Conference! As of February 1, 2016, the conference is sold out. If you were not able to purchase tickets for our San Diego Conference, we hope to see you at the IAWF events in the near future.


IAWF's 10th Women's Leadership Conference will be hosted on February 28th, 2016 at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. It will feature a diverse array of engaging speakers, empowering stories, and opportunities to connect with fellow members of the IAWF community.

IAWF member Roxana Mehran is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at The Zena and Michael A. Weiner Cardiovascular Institute at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is internationally recognized for her work in multi-center, multinational clinical trials, specializing in complex data analyses. Dr. Shohre Mehvar

Newest member of IAWF's Circle of 100's, Dr. Shohre Mehvar is a licensed Acupuncturist and the owner of Newport Wellness Group. She believes in the power of integrating the best of western and eastern therapies for optimal results. She received her Doctorate and Master's degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. As a cancer survivor, she has a passion for supporting women and men during difficult times in their lives with compassion, education and guidance. Learn more about Shohre on her IAWF profile here.
