SHARING OUR STORY

Want to know more about what our regional agency means for you? We'd love to come speak to your group. Contact Alayna Curry

This month, CFX presented to the Zellwood Station HOA (pictured above), the Central Florida Transportation Planning Group and the MetroPlan Orlando Community Advistory Committee.

YOUR TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK

2040 Master Plan

This month, our Board approved our 2040 Master Plan. The Plan identifies projects that best address the needs of the region, taking into account expected population, housing and employment growth, financial forecasts,
technology developments and extensive public input. Click here to read the final report.

Five Year Work Plan

The Master Plan also sets the tone for our Five-Year Work Plan. This month, the Board approved the agency's first regional Five Year Work Plan (FY 2017-2021), which includes existing system improvements, expansion projects, interchange projects and more. The full report will be available on our website soon.

UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT

Did you recently get a new car or a new license plate? Don't forget to update that information in your E-PASS account. This will help ensure that you're being charged properly for your commute.

PARTNER UPDATE:
I-4 ULTIMATE

The I-4 Ultimate project is improving the safety of entrances and exits to the interstate by lengthening ramps. Drivers can expect nighttime closures at several of the
I-4 ramps.

Visit www.i4Ultimate.com to sign up for construction and real-time traffic alerts.

We're excited to introduce a new pilot program, the Reload Lane, the first of its kind in the continental US!

Enjoy drive-up customer service at the east- and west-bound lanes of the 408 Conway toll plaza. Get a free E-PASS and add money to your account with cash, check or credit card. The Reload Lane is open 7 days a week from 6 AM-8 PM.

More than 500 people opened up a new account in this lane during the first week - giving them the opportunity to receive E-PASS loyalty discounts!
INTEROPERABILITY

Going on a road trip this summer? You only need 1 transponder. E-PASS works on all toll roads and most bridges in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. More states to come!

CFX REWIND

The first segment of the Osceola County Expressway Authority's Poinciana Parkway, from US 17-92 to Marigold Avenue, is now open to traffic! Hundreds of people came out to the grand opening celebration and 5K run on April 30.

In just the first 2 days, more than 8,600 people enjoyed a faster and shorter commute on the Parkway. Cashless toll collection begins on June 1, so make sure you've got an E-PASS to save on each toll. Go to GetEPASS.com for more information.

Have friends who don't have E-PASS yet? Tell them to follow us on Facebook to learn more about upcoming sign-up events.

FACES OF CFX

Lance is one of our Acting Toll Supervisors, working the night shift (10 PM-6 AM) at the 429 Independence Mainline Plaza.

What's your favorite part of the job?
I really enjoy working with my night shift team. We've got a lot in common, so we're like a little family. It's also fun to develop "30-second friendships" with people who drive through the plaza on a regular basis.

What's the most common question you get from drivers in the lanes?
"How many tolls am I going to hit coming up?" Well, that depends on where you're going. We've got a toll calculator on the CFX website to help you plan out your trip.

Tell us something you've learned while working here that you didn't know before.
Before I worked here, I avoided the toll roads. But now I really understand their importance. For some, toll roads are much more cost effective, faster and safer than using other options.
