YOUR TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK

The completion of this project is right around the corner! We'll be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, February 12 to officially open the new interchange to traffic. This project will provide better access to and from the Orlando International Airport from south Orange and Osceola Counties.

Orlando is expected to gain an extra 1 million people by 2040. Toll roads can help us meet the growing transportation demand quicker than paying for roads with gas taxes.

E-PASS PORTABLE FOR SALE

Great news - the E-PASS Portable is now available! While the sticker is still FREE for residents of 7 Central Florida counties, the portable can be purchased for $9.95+tax through your online account, over the phone or at one of our 2 service centers.

Just like the sticker, the portable does not require a battery. Both work on all toll roads in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and can be used to pay for parking at the Orlando International Airport.

TOLL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

During the next 4 years, we'll be upgrading the technology of our toll system.

As part of this project, all toll plaza beacons (red/green lights shown below) will be removed, saving about $700,000 of your toll dollars. These lights can cause confusion, especially when a machine is jammed. By removing them, drivers can continue on their commute more efficiently and safely.

Don't worry - as long as your license plate is correctly listed in your account, you shouldn't run into any issues. If you're not set up with auto-replenishment payment, you can receive email notifications when your account balance is low.

As mentioned above, we're in the process of removing the toll plaza beacons. In the meantime, if you encounter a jammed coin basket and the light stays red, we ask that you place the correct amount of change in the basket and move along.

For the safety of yourself and others, please do not continue to add money and do not get out of your vehicle. When a machine is jammed, a signal is sent to our maintenance team for repair and no one is charged any fines during that down time.

FACES OF CFX

Bryant has been on our Road Ranger team for nearly 2 years and works the 408 route.
If you need assistance on the expressways, dial *FHP (*347). Road Rangers are available Monday-Friday from 6 AM - 8 PM.

What do you like most about your job?
My co-workers are great! I also really enjoy being able to help people. That's why I'm also starting to work part-time as a reserve police officer up in Chiefland.

How many times do you drive the 408 in one shift?
The 408 route keeps me very busy, especially in the mornings. I do about 200-250 miles a day, so that's about 7 round trips.

Do you have any safety tips for drivers?
If you're hauling items in your truck or trailer, please make sure they're properly secured. Debris in the road can be extremely dangerous for both other drivers and our Road Rangers.
