"Message from the
State Department of Education"

"The Connecticut State Department of Education in collaboration with the Office of Early Childhood has developed a framework for Grades K-3 outlining the social, emotional, and intellectual habits (SEIH) that complement the academic standards in place for early elementary students.  We are in the process of sharing the SEIH framework with parent groups to receive feedback on the contents and utility of the document.  We believe it would be most helpful to receive feedback from members of  CT PTA.   We are also collecting feedback on the CT Core Standards (CCS) companion documents.  The CCS companion documents show the connections between the SEIH and the CCS in Grades K-3.
