Jahana Hayes, Connecticut Teacher of the Year for 2016 and National Teacher of the Year finalist is recognized by the Connecticut PTA at the 2016 Empowered to Lead Symposium. Jahana teaches History at the John F. Kennedy High School in Waterbury, CT and is an exemplary leader and role model for her students, peers and community.
Kathy Kennedy, the CT PTA President and Jim Accomando, Past CT PTA President and current member of the CT Teacher of the Year selection committee, recognize Jahana Hayes with a $500 grant for her accomplishments in CT education. We congratulate Jahana and hope that her talents will be recognized and rewarded at the National level as well.
