  Aledo United Methodist Church
Making disciples of Jesus Christ to transform the world
by loving, knowing, and serving our God.
This Sunday's Message: "Trust in Me"
Galatians 2:15-21
The Road Less Traveled
As a man, sometimes the hardest thing to do is simply to listen. I'm convinced that it goes against our nature. Men are hard-wired to be fixers, problem solvers. Give us a problem, and we'll quickly give you three possible solutions...

AUMC Welcomes Guest Pastor Dr. Christie Robbins
This Sunday, June 19, Aledo United Methodist Church welcomes Dr. Christie Robbins, who will be preaching for the vacationing Lee Trigg. Christie is a native of Fort Worth and grew up at Ridglea United Methodist Church. She earned a BA from Southwestern University in Georgetown and a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling. While at Brite, Christie received the Faculty Book Award for Pastoral Counseling and the Patrick Maniscalco Award for Pastoral Care. In May 2014 she became Dr. Robbins, earning a Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Christie is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and served various churches in the Central Texas Conference, including Granbury UMC and Lorena UMC. In 2015 she was appointed as a General Evangelist of the United Methodist Church. In that role she preaches, teaches and leads retreats in a variety of churches. Christie is married to Rev. Joel Robbins, who serves as the pastor of Ovilla United Methodist Church and a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserves. She is the proud mother of three children, Joel Brandon, Marion Ruth, and Thomas Q.C. "Tom."
Happy Father's Day
