Newcomers' Coffee
|
On May 5th, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm, there will be an open house at the barn for new residents of Trout Valley who have moved into the neighborhood in the past two years or so.
|
There will be representatives from the various boards, clubs, and amenities who will be available with information and will be willing to answer questions.
If you would like to be invited, or if you would like to represent your club or activity at the meeting, please RSVP to:
Troutvalleynews@gmail.com
or leave a voice mail for Vernie at 847-639-9142. We will be preparing welcome packets for the new residents who attend. Refreshments will be served.
If you have lived in Trout Valley for awhile, but are still wondering about one of our clubs or amenities, feel free to stop by and ask questions. There will be forms available for joining the tennis club and/or the pool.

A Word about TV Email Blasts
Now that we have a weekly newsletter, email blasts will be used less frequently. If you have a submission, please submit it to Bob Baker at troutvalleyblasts@gmail.com.
Email blasts are to be used for items that are time-sensitive or important news - lost pets, death of a resident, extreme weather conditions, etc. Please note that we do not want to abuse the use of email blasts for regular items, as we want residents to realize that when they receive an blast, it is for an important purpose. The email blasts are not a substitute, but rather a complement to the newsletter .
We will review all email blast requests and if we feel they meet the criteria, we will send out an email blast within a reasonable time period. If it is determined that the information does not merit an email blast, we will make sure it appears in the next newsletter.

Call the Sheriff
If you are aware of a problem in the community, it's imperative to call the McHenry County Sheriff to ensure they have a record of the problem. If your home is burglarized, you witness vandalism, you see people loitering down by the river, please inform the Sheriff. Maintaining a connection with the Sheriff's office helps to ensure the security of our community. The Sheriff's non-emergency number is 815-338-2144.

Deed Restriction of the month:
It's that time of year when we start thinking about spring and summer activities. It's also time to swap out any winter toys (e.g. snowmobiles) by the end of March, for summer toys (boats). Boats should then be removed from your property by the end of October. There's nothing sadder than a snowmobile in July or a boat in January!

No recreational equipment
such as boats and boat trailers, recreational vehicles, campers, horse trailers and similar mobile recreational items may be stored, kept, placed or maintained on any lot except during the period or season of active use as defined or determined by the Trout Valley Association.
