The Institute for the Ages, through its Universal Design (UD) Conversation Circle, advocates UD concepts and use in our community and beyond. Universal Design (often called inclusive design) refers to broad-spectrum ideas meant to produce buildings, products and environments that are inherently accessible to older people, people without disabilities, and people with disabilities. The Institute plans to create an educational program for a wide audience. This course will identify UD ideas and products that help people and procedures for putting these ideas/products into place.
The course is designed for buyers of UD home features (either renovation or new home), sellers of UD concepts (realtors, hospitals, caretakers) and providers of UD physical elements (licensed contractors, equipment installers). It will provide knowledge for homeowners and professional continuing education credentials (CEUs) for professionals.
We need your help. Please complete the following survey so that we may meet the needs of course participants. We will be asking you for your email address at the end of the survey so that we may follow up with you as we go forward. Thank you.
