LHS DECA students take 1st Place at International Career Conference
Lawrence High School (LHS) juniors Anjali Agarwal and Aanchal Aich took 1st Place in Business Services Operations Research at the 2016 DECA International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee!
 
During the school year student DECA club members take part in the organization's competitive events program, allowing them to compete for local and regional titles. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students' academic understanding and skills development. The top state and provincial winners put their talents to the test during the program's final round of competition, the International Career Development Conference, where members vie for international honors. Over 17,000 students attended this year, DECA's largest conference to date.

LHS girls relay teams post top county times at Penn Relays
The Lawrence High School (LHS) Girls Track team was among the thousands of competitors at the prestigious Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania on April 28. 


The 4x100 relay team placed 1st in their heat and the 4x400 team placed 2nd. The girls posted the best times of all the Mercer County teams competing. LHS Social Studies teacher Tim Collins is the head coach. Read more in this story from The Trentonian.

The good news keeps on coming!
We just learned that Lawrence Middle School (LMS) 8th grader Kathryn Ossowski has also been selected for the US Olympic Development Program (ODP). Kathryn will play for the Girls NJ ODP '02 state soccer team.

Corks and Canvas Fundraiser for SHH
Have a fun night out at a Corks and Canvas event on May 13 and help the LHS Students Helping Honduras (SHH) club fund a new school at the same time. The event will be held at PEAC Health and Fitness in Ewing. Must be 21 or older to attend. See flyer or register here.

LTPS-TV This Weekend


Saturday & Sunday, May 7-8 LTPS-TV will broadcast five new programs on Comcast Channel 19 and Verizon Channel 37 in Lawrence Township:
 
LHS Varsity Baseball recorded 4/20/16 (approximately 1 hour 37 minutes)
7AM, 12PM, (2PM Verizon only), & 7PM
Lawrence takes on Hightstown at Eggerts Crossing Fields with a guest sportscast team.
 
LTPS Jazz Fest recorded 4/21/16 (approximately 1 hour)
9AM, 4PM, 9PM and Midnight
Jazz musicians from Lawrence Intermediate School and Lawrence High School performed a jazz program with help from Mr. Ron Kerber of the Philly Pops. This program was recorded with 3 cameras and 4 audio channels. If you view this on LTPSRewind, be sure to use headphones for the full stereo sound.
 
SW Fairness Pillar of Character recorded 4/26/16 (approximately 17 minutes)

Slackwood School honors students who have demonstrated the Fairness Pillar of Character.
