Yuen accepted into All State Intermediate Orchestra
Lawrence Middle School (LMS) 7th grader Andrew Yuen has been accepted into the New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) All State Intermediate Orchestra on the cello.

Andrew was accepted into the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Intermediate Orchestra in January, qualifying him to audition for the All State Intermediate Orchestra. He placed 6th chair among other grades 6-8 cello players throughout the state. Andrew is a member of the LMS Orchestra under the direction of music teacher Melissa Clark.
LHS hosts Job Fair
On March 23, Lawrence High School (LHS) hosted a job fair during lunch periods for students seeking part-time, summer or full-time employment after graduation. 

Employers present included:  Six Flags Great Adventure, Smoothie King, Mercer One Stop, Candlewood Management, Lawrence Township Technology, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS), Hopewell Valley YMCA, and Burlington Coat Factory.

LHS students "make history"
Lawrence High School (LHS) students "made history" on March 5 by being the first high school-level entrants from Lawrence to compete at New Jersey Regional History Day (www.nhd.org) at Princeton University.
 
Three students from the LHS Senior Division team, Anis Chihoub (exhibit), and Anusha Aggarwal and Cassidy Stoneback (group exhibit), advanced to the state level of competition, scheduled for May 7 at William Paterson University.

LHS US Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble recorded 3/16/16 (approximately 1 hour 12 minutes)

Jazz Musicians from the US Air Force perform a concert at LHS.
 
SW Citizenship Pillar of Character Assembly recorded 3/22/16 (approximately 18 minutes)
6:30AM, 9AM, 11:30AM, 4PM, 6:30PM & 9PM
Slackwood School honors students who have demonstrated the Citizenship Pillar of Character.
 
BF Spaced Out recorded 3/22/16 (approximately 17 minutes)

Let Me Run - new program in Lawrence!
Attention boys grades 4-6 - there's still time to register for the new Let Me Run program in Lawrence. The season begins on April 5 and ends with a 5K race on May 22. Learn more about the program and register online at www.LetMeRun.org.  See flyer.
Bicycle Safety Rodeo and Safe Kids Day
The annual Bicycle Safety Rodeo and Safe Kids Day is Saturday, May 7, from 9AM - 1PM at the St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center. Pre-register for the bike rodeo and your child will receive a free helmet and bike inspection. See flyer for details.
