ESL teacher published in professional journal
Eldridge Park School ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher Angeline Sturgis has an article published in the Fall 2015 issue of Voices, the journal of New Jersey Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages/New Jersey Bilingual Educators (NJTESOL/NJBE). Read Voices online  - Angeline's article, "The Tangle or the Weave?" can be found under Special Interest Groups, Parent and Community Action.

Angeline was named Mercer County Teacher of the Year for 2012.

Turf 'n Treat - October 31
Get the latest on the artificial turf project at our Turf 'n Treat on Saturday, October 31 (no costume required) in the Lawrence High School library. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9. Enjoy seasonal treats while hearing members of the Decision and Design Team discuss the process and answer questions.

Afterwards, attend the last home football game of the season at 11AM, when Lawrence meets Hightstown and our senior football players, cheerleaders, and Red Scare Band members receive recognition.

Lawrence Recreation Fall/Winter Programs
The Lawrence Township Recreation Department offers several indoor youth sports programs for the fall/winter season, including field hockey, wrestling, recreational and competitive basketball. Veterans Day Observance
The Lawrence Township Patriotic Committee invites the community to attend a Veterans Day Observance, recognizing those who defended our freedom in all conflicts, on Saturday, November 7 at 10AM in the American Legion Post 414. See flyer.
Township Recycling/Shredding Event
The Lawrence Township Department of Public Works will hold a recycling/document shredding event on Friday, October 23 from 3-7PM. See flyer for details.
