Visiting Signum Quartet from Germany works on #quartweet project with LTPS 3rd graders - will perform free concert on October 1
The Signum Quartet, working in conjunction with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, is working with some of our third graders on a new music form...a #quartweet.
What's a #quartweet? it's a musical composition written for string quartet of no more than 140 notes, as a parallel to 140 characters of a tweet.
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) recently formed a Standards Review Committee and three Subcommittees to evaluate and recommend revisions to the existing Common Core Standards. To ensure a comprehensive review, the committees need the benefit of public input, which they will gather through an online survey (open from September 2 to October 9) and three regional Listening Tours on September 17, 28 and 29.
