Solar Panels Continue Producing . . .
let the sun shine!
LTPS sold additional solar renewable energy certificates (SRECs) at auction on September 15 and reaped $313,434. A total of 1,351 SRECs were sold at prices ranging from $227-233/SREC. The SRECS sold were generated in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Prior to the most recent sale, LTPS last sold SRECs on September 17, 2014. The July sale brings the total SREC revenue generated to date to $2,499,203.  The first sale was in March 2010.

The revenue LTPS receives from SREC sales helps save Lawrence residents' taxes and is in addition to energy usage offset by the solar panels.
