District leaders present at LML conference in Malta

Superintendent Edwards presented the keynote address today at the joint Let Me Learn (LML) international conference entitled "Twenty Years of Unlocking Learning Potential: a Joint Venture (LML-U.S. and LML-Malta)" in Malta. Her address: Unlocking Learning Potential through Educational Reform.

At the same conference Judy Bronston, former Lawrenceville Elementary principal and new director of personnel, presented a two-hour Best Practice workshop on LML.

LHS Spanish teacher and 11 students are Honduras bound

Alyssa Katz, Lawrence High School (LHS) Spanish teacher, one teacher friend, and 11 LHS students are heading to Honduras tomorrow. Follow Alyssa's blog and keep tabs on the group as they build schools and interact with Honduras residents.

She's in a league of her own

Check out Katie Ciuffreda's prowess on the baseball field with her Lawrence Little League All-Star Team, as reported in this news video by Mark Fontes from WMBC. Katie is a 6th grader at Lawrence Intermediate School.

Grants fund programs for kindergarten and high school

The Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF), with grants from Investors Bank and Roma Bank Community Foundation, will fund two programs at Lawrence Township Public Schools during the upcoming year. The grants will provide a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) program for kindergartners and a Shakespearean artist-in-residency program at Lawrence High School.

LTPS-TV This Weekend

Saturday & Sunday, July 11-12, LTPS-TV will broadcast one new program on Comcast Channel 19 and Verizon Channel 37 in Lawrence Township:

LHS Drive Responsibly recorded 5/29/15 (approximately 52 minutes)

6AM, 9AM, 12PM, 5PM & 9PM

In an effort to encourage seniors to drive responsibly, first responders present a simulated drunk driver car crash, followed by a mock trial and funeral.
