Jump with Jill
Slackwood rocks to "Jump with Jill"
Slackwood School (SL) was rocking on March 31 as Jill Jayne, a "rock star nutritionist," led students and staff in "Jump with Jill," a rock concert featuring catchy songs and upbeat dance moves that teach kids healthy lifestyle habits. A Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) grant funded the event. E-n-e-r-g-y filled the multi-purpose room!
Slackwood students decorate doors to celebrate reading
Slackwood students celebrated Read Across America week and their love of reading by participating in an annual door decorating contest. Students worked hard on their doors to create different themes related to books or reading. Mrs. Kimball's Kindergarten classroom door was selected as the winner for its originality, concept, student participation, and literacy.
Catch Lawrence Middle School (LMS) students' "Capturing Light" photography display at the Lawrence branch of the Mercer County Library from April 6 - May 17.
