Professionals Send Business Academy Students an Important Message
Several Lawrence High School (LHS) Business and International Studies Academy students recently traveled to Deloitte and Touche, one of the four largest accounting firms in the world, to enjoy a full day of interaction with financial professionals from several fields. Representatives from the firm's audit, tax, and human resources departments shared their educational and professional backgrounds with students and answered questions. Students left with the important message that the undergraduate degrees earned by the professionals they met ranged from Engineering, to Finance, Liberal Arts, Communications and Statistics, proving that many pathways can lead to one of the world's top financial firms. Deloitte and Touche will be at the LHS Shark Tank Competition on May 1, where students will attempt to impress the judges with their entrepreneurial passion and promise.
