Community Conversation - December 3, 2014
 Mark your calendar! We hope you'll be part of the Conversation and attend our next Community Conversation set for Wednesday, December 3, 2014. The event is in the Lawrence High School Commons. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7:00 p.m. Come early and meet some of our community partners. This school year is the last year of our current, five-year strategic plan. At the Conversation, we'll begin discussing info important to consider in our next strategic plan. Prior to the event, we'll share a survey on which we'd like your feedback. How are we doing? Where can we improve? What are we doing well? The survey will be available soon. Please watch for it and let us hear from you! Babysitting and light refreshments will be provided during the Community Conversation. Watch for more information about how to register for the event. |
Board of Education Appoints New Athletic Director

After an extensive interview process involving paper screenings, phone interviews, and one of three rounds of interviews with a committee composed of district staff, administrators, high school athletes, a Board of Education (BOE) member, a community member, and middle and high school parents, the BOE approved Superintendent Crystal Edwards' recommendation last night to appoint Alyson Fischer as the new LTPS Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics.
Alyson, a Lawrence High Assistant Principal, will replace current Athletic Director Ken Mason who announced his December 31st retirement earlier this school year. Alyson will assume her new responsibilities January 5, 2015.

Latino Community Night
 The Academy of Business & International Studies will host Latino Community Night for Lawrence High School (LHS) families on Wednesday, October 15, at 6PM in the LHS Commons. The evening will include dinner and guest speakers from Mercer County Community College and Rutgers University, who will provide important information regarding college planning. In addition, information regarding Lawrence policies, activities, and technical assistance with the district website and PowerSchool systems will be discussed. See flyer. |

This Saturday & Sunday, October 11-12, LTPS-TV will broadcast three new programs on Comcast Channel 19 and Verizon Channel 37 in Lawrence Township:
LHS Boys Varsity Soccer recorded 9/23/14 (approximately 1 hour 23 minutes)
7:30AM, 12:30PM & 8:30PM
The boys take on Steinert in a night game at Zimmer Field. No announcers were available for this game.
LHS Girls Varsity Field Hockey recorded 9/29/14 (approximately 1 hour 4 minutes)
6AM, 10AM & 5PM
The girls take on Allentown at home. No announcers were available for this game.

Eldridge Park School kicked off the Week of Respect with an outdoor program featuring LHS Varsity Football players, the Red Scare marching band, LHS Varsity Cheerleaders, and special guest Ed Reynolds of the Philadelphia Eagles, who is a former Eldridge Park School student.

Eggert's Crossing Village 40th Anniversary Celebration
Every Child Valued (ECV) will host the 40th Anniversary of Eggert's Crossing Village on Sunday, October 19 from 2:30-5:30 pm at Rider University, Bart Luedeke Center, Cavalla Room.
