Connelly Chosen to Conduct Philly Pops

 

Lawrence High School (LHS) junior David Connelly has been selected as the student conductor for the Philly Pops Orchestra performance on Saturday, September 27 at the Patriot's Theater at the Trenton War Memorial. David will conduct the "Rocky" theme.

Fifth Graders Link Understanding of 9/11 with their Community
As part of a lesson discussing the efforts of first responders on 9/11, Lawrence Intermediate School (LIS) 5th graders made paper chains of good wishes to thank members of the Lawrence Police and Fire Departments for being their community links for safety and protection. LHS Students Recreate the World Trade Center Towers with Memories

Students of Lawrence High School (LHS) U.S. History teachers Mrs. Hertzog and Mrs. Holloway used post-it notes inscribed with written memories and thoughts to construct symbolic versions of the World Trade Center towers on the anniversary of 9/11. Read more here.

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser to Benefit Academies

The Arts & Humanities and Business Academies will hold a flapjack fundraiser at Applebee's from 8-10AM on Saturday, September 27. Adults are $10 and students are $5. Walk-ins are welcome. Proceeds will benefit both academies.
Recycle Halloween Costumes and Treat a Child

Interact Club at Lawrence High School (LHS) is collecting gently used Halloween costumes and accessories to benefit children in the Trenton area as part of a HomeFront Halloween party. Please make a child's day and bring your costumes to the main office or room 127 at LHS by Monday, October 20.  Questions?  Contact Ms. Vaughn at jvaughn@ltps.org.
