Other LTPS News to Know
LHS Operation Smile Club
Operation Smile is an international organization of doctors and volunteers who provide free cleft lip and cleft palate operations to children in many parts of the world. These operations are often inaccessible in developing countries so international medical teams travel to these areas, set up "missions" in local hospitals, and perform a high volume of surgeries over a short period of time (usually ten to fourteen days). In Operation Smile affiliates within schools, students support this effort by raising money - one surgery costs $240 - and supplies for the organization.
