FAN Night - March 20, 7PM 
Tonight is a FAN (Family Athletic Network) meeting at 7PM in the Lawrence High Commons. Athletes and parents will hear about plans for athletics within the proposed 2014-15 budget, learn about process for athletes desiring to play in college, and get info about spring sports.  Lawrence gear will be available for purchase.

Masterson Accepted to NJMEA Intermediate All-State Orchestra

 

Lawrence Middle School (LMS) 7th grader Teddy Masterson has been accepted into New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) Intermediate All-State Orchestra on the double bass. He recently placed first at the audition for Intermediate Orchestra, which is a pre-requisite to audition for the All-State Orchestra. All-State allows young musicians from all three regions to audition for the top orchestra. Teddy will participate in four rehearsals prior to a seating audition in April to determine his final placement before the concert. Currently, he is 3rd in the double bass section. Teddy is a member of the LMS Orchestra under the direction of Mrs. Melissa Clark.

 

Students Excel at DECA State Leadership Conference

Forty-four members of the Lawrence High School (LHS) DECA chapter recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Cherry Hill, NJ. Of those attending, twenty-six made it to the final round of competition and thirteen qualified to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA in April. See the list of winners and national qualifiers here.

Stout Named National Merit Finalist

Congratulations to LHS senior Bryan Stout for being named as a finalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. Winners will be notified later this year.

You've probably heard of the Tone Chimes, but you may not have heard of Boomwackers. Tune in to this LES Concert to see and hear some Boomwackers!

 

LHS College Readiness recorded 3/14/14 (approximately 49 minutes)

8:30AM, 12:30PM, 5:30PM, 9PM & 11:30PM

The LHS Guidance Department presented this program to LHS Juniors to help them prepare for college.

"Let's Talk" - A Discussion on Teen Drug Epidemic

Princeton HealthCare System Community Education & Outreach will hold "Let's Talk: A Prescription for Families" on May 15 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Experts will discuss the drug epidemic in Mercer and Middlesex counties and offer advice on warning signs, communication techniques and community resources. See flyer.

New Summer Basketball Camp

The Lawrence Township Recreation Department will hold a new summer Basketball Camp for rising 3rd to 9th graders on July 7-18. See flyer for details and registration information.

Township Fireworks Fundraiser at Applebee's

Bring this flyer to Applebee's on Wednesday, April 23 and 10% of your food and beverage purchase will be donated to the Township Fireworks fund.

VIVA Fitness Programs
