Wolf Takes District 17 Wrestling Title
 LHS senior Gordon Wolf won his third District 17 Wrestling Championship (138), qualifying for the Region V Tournament February 26 - March 1. In addition, he was named the NJSIAA District 17 Tournament's Outstanding Wrestler, an honor he also received his sophomore year. Read more in Trenton Times article. LMS Art "Soup-er" Bowl
Students in Mrs. Skorupa's 7th grade art class at Lawrence Middle School (LMS) recently participated in the 2nd Annual Art "Soup-er" Bowl. The students collected over 70 canned and boxed goods after the completion of their Pop Art drawing/painting unit. All donations will be delivered to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK).

Sharma Published in Picture Book Press

Saloni Sharma, 6th grader at Lawrence Intermediate School (LIS), is a featured writer in the Spring 2014 edition of the Cotsen Children's Library at Princeton University's Picture Book Press. Her poem "Drifting Leaf" was chosen for publication and appears on page 2 of the Picture Book Press.

2013 National History Day Parade of States

A total of 48 students from the Lawrence Middle School (LMS) Enrichment Challenge Program will participate in the 2014 Regional competition for National History Day (www.nhd.org) on Saturday, March 8 at Princeton University. This year's theme is "Rights and Responsibilities" in history. As individuals or in groups, the 7th & 8th grade students submitted 9 papers, 3 websites, 17 exhibits, and 11 documentaries for consideration to qualify for the State round of competition in May. Students conducted intensive research for primary and secondary resources and contacted local and international experts to interview for their topics. They corresponded with university history professors, authors, and athletes.
LMS's first involvement with National History Day in 2013 yielded a State Champion in the Individual Junior Website division: James Gow (now LHS 9th grade). LMS National History Day advisor is Priscilla Taylor.

LMS Presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is coming to the Lawrence Middle School (LMS) stage on Friday, March 7 at 7PM and Saturday, March 8 at 1PM and 7PM. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults.

LES PTO Casino Night & Auction
The Lawrenceville Elementary School (LES) Parent Teacher
 Organization (PTO) will host its annual spring fundraiser, "Casino Night & Auction," on Saturday, April 5 at 7:00 PM at ETS in Princeton. "Casino Night" will feature a selection of silent auction and raffle items including: a 6-series BMW convertible for the weekend, a weekend away in New York City, 4 Park Hopper Tickets to Disney World, tickets to LIVE with Kelly & Michael, an American Girl doll, authentic Steiner Sports Memorabilia from MLB, the NFL and more. LHS Athletic Hall of Fame is Seeking Nominations
The Lawrence High School (LHS) Athletic Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for the 2014 Induction Ceremony at Mercer Oaks on Saturday, October 11. Athletes, coaches, contributors, and teams can be nominated by visiting www.ltps.org and following the links for "Lawrence High School," "Athletics," and "Athletic Hall of Fame." The nomination forms can be filled out and submitted online.
The Hall of Fame also announced that its annual golf tournament will be held on Thursday, June 26 at Mercer Oaks. Please contact Gregg Zenerovitz or Mick Cimorelli for more information or to register for the tournament.
