LHS Business Academy Visits Dow Jones and 9/11 Memorial

The Lawrence High School (LHS) Business and International Studies Academy took a field trip to New York City on December 13, where they visited Dow Jones and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

At Dow Jones, students met Victoria Chin, Global Head of Customer Service, and participated in a panel discussion with young, accomplished employees, who answered questions about what to expect in the near future and offered rsum building tips. The visit concluded with a tour of the offices and the Fox News recording studio.

After lunch, students traveled to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center site. Although the museum is not yet open to the public, students were able to view the nearly 3,000 names of the people killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 inscribed on bronze parapets surrounding the twin Memorial pools. They also learned about the memorial's architects and its construction process.
