DECA Students to Host LHS Idol Benefit

David Eggert and Andrew Moldoff, members of the Lawrence High DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) chapter, will host LHS Idol on Thursday, February 6 at 7PM at LHS. The competition for LHS students will follow the format of the TV show American Idol. All proceeds from ticket sales ($5 at the door) will go to charity: water, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to over 800 million people in developing nations. All donations to charity: water are used to fund projects such as building and repairing sustainable freshwater wells and water purification systems in 20 countries around the world.
