Competition Strong at LMS Geography Bee

The competition at the 3rd Annual National Geographic Geography Bee at Lawrence Middle School (LMS) reached new levels of excitement this year as students battled to the final three on January 9th. All questions were provided by the National Geographic Society and covered a wide range of topics, including Cultural Geography, Odd Item Out, the Continents, and U.S. Historic Places. Teddy Masterson, Adam Cymerman, and the winner of the bee, Reese Pagliante, shared the honor of being "Final Three of the Bee." Reese will now take the written test to qualify for the state level Geography Bee. The LMS Social Studies department (Kristine Benson, Dan Christel, and Shannon Stromenger) and librarian Eileen Cramer organized the event.
