December 8th was a fun afternoon as the Lawrence Learners took on the Harlem Wizards.  The premier athlete competition took place in the Lawrence High gym and was sponsored by the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.  Take a look at the entertaining afternoon.

LES Hosts Author Julia Cook

Lawrenceville Elementary School (LES) welcomed award-winning author and parenting expert, Julia Cook, for an all-school assembly on December 11. Best known for tackling tough social skills/issues one character at a time, some of Cook's titles include: My Mouth is a Volcano, Comfortable in Your Own Feathers and Personal Space Camp. LIS Donates to Anchor House

Lawrence Intermediate School's (LIS) Student Council just completed their winter drive by leading a school-wide collection of various items such as socks, shampoos, deodorants, soaps, and toothbrushes to donate to Anchor House.

 

Anchor House, Inc. is a multi-service agency for runaway, homeless, abused, and at-risk youth and their families. It is a safe place to rest, wait through the storm while in crisis, and provides a way to move on when the crisis is calmed. For more information, contact Anchor House directly at [email protected].
