Breakfast Buddies

Ben Franklin,Slackwood and Eldridge Park Elementary Schools (order of photos) began the school year with a special project called "Breakfast Buddies." The students focused on the theme "Start the year off right, by helping kids start their day off right!" Together, the three schools collected hundreds of breakfast items - cereal, fruit and breakfast bars - which were donated to HomeFront of Mercer County. HomeFront partners with the community to help families in our area. Research shows that starting each day with a nutritious breakfast helps children with their academic performance, the ability to learn, improved comprehension and memory. Be a Breakfast Buddy!
