Equality Utah Town Hall Meeting

Have you or someone you know been fired for being gay?

Do you think that discrimination against LGBT Utahns is unjust?

Please attend and tell us your story.

When: Wednesday, Jan 30th

Where: Salt Lake County Council Chambers

(2001 South State Street #N1100) Salt Lake City, UT 84190

Time: 6pm

In our state, there are 4-5 complaints filed EVERY MONTH by gay and transgender Utahns who have been fired, simply for being, or being perceived as gay or transgender, and they have no recourse, because Utah doesn't currently protect people from discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity / expression.

Let's put an end to this kind of blantant unfairness! Join Equality Utah and our community partners PFLAG, TEA of Utah and Ogden Outreach for an important conversation about how  we can end workplace and housing discrimination this legislative session. We are hosting a Town Hall Forum Wednesday, January 30th at 6pm in the Salt Lake County Council Chambers.

This will be an interactive forum where we can get the real facts about discrimination against LGBT Utahns, share our experiences, and learn about the 2013 Workplace and Housing Non-discrimination Bill. Friends, families, and allies welcomed, and encouraged.

We will have a photobooth where you and your friends/family can take a picture with your personalized message,  we need you to share your story.
