Join us Monday, Nov. 26: Community Forum: Love Makes a Family
Book Banning and Same Sex Parents:
7:00 p.m., Pleasant Valley Library Auditorium
5568 South Adams Avenue, Ogden, UT 84405

Standard Examiner reporter Charles Trentelman will moderate a panel of educators, psychologists, same sex parents and their children this Monday. What is all the fuss about? A book that tells the story of what Charlie calls the new normal family (read his article here). This forum is an opportunity to hear the thoughts of others and to express your own, all in the spirit of fostering understanding of this vital issue that the country is watching. What happens here is a precedent for other communities to emulate, either to censor or celebrate diversity.

Why is this important to OUTreach? Because if who you are isn't respected, if your family is labeled in such a way to make you feel "less than," you are at greater risk for bullying, suicide and homelessness. This matters...be there, share your thoughts and passion for the equality and worth of all families, all parents, ALL children.
