Teacher/Staff appreciation will be celebrated by the PTSA May 13th -17th. We have great things planned to show our Hughes teachers, staff, custodians, cafeteria staff and bus drivers how much their efforts are appreciated! Each day the Teachers and Staff will receive a special treat.

 Please join us for a meet and greet with Mr. Andrew Hooker, next year's Hughes Academy Principal Tuesday May 14th Hughes Academy of Science and Technology 122 DeOyley Avenue Media Center Two sessions: 8:30-9:30 a.m. 5:30-6:30 p.m. Light Refreshments will be served.

Organic Garden Volunteers Needed

Hughes Academy's students have been hard at work developing and planting the organic garden, and we are now waiting on the plants to grow! We will need several volunteers over the summer to help pick vegetables and get them distributed. We plan to donate the first crops to families in the Hughes' neighborhood. Please contact Ame Holcombe, ameholcombe@gmail.com, if you are interested in helping. This will be a great way for students to earn Beta Club hours or for families to participate in community service. We hope you will get involved!
