Battle of the Brains
Battle of the Brains (B.O.B.) defeated Berea Middle 116 - 62, February 1st at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg. BOB will play Mabry Middle on February 25th.

Celebrating 41 years, Battle of the Brains, is a question-and-answer competition. Bill Drake, local radio host of Awake with Drake, is the founder and brains behind this quiz bowl tradition, involving 36 schools from four counties of South Carolina.

Winners are determined through a bracket system, and with cash prizes reaching $1,000, motivation to win is high. The top eight schools, better known as the Elite Eight, are then invited back at the end of the competition to a reception complete with a mock game, dinner, and cash prize awards.
