2013 Greenville County Girls and Boys Middle School Basketball Playoffs |
Come out and support the defending Girls and Boys Middle School Basketball Champions today as they compete in the second round
of the playoffs. Both teams had first round byes. The girls are seeded # 1 and the boys are seeded # 4.
Girls host Bryson Middle at 5:30 and the Boys host Northwest Middle 20 minutes after the girls the game. Admission is $3.00 for adults & children. Any child who is under 6 will be admitted for free. Courtney Lilliston, Donaldson Career Center, is the boys coach. The girls team is coached byJeff McCoy. Go Cougars! |

 The public education discussion with State Senator Ross Turner has been rescheduled for Friday, February 22, 2013 at 9 am at Hughes Academy. If you are not able to attend, please change your RSVP on Eventbrite.This event is sponsored by the SICs at Blythe Academy, Augusta Circle and Hughes Academy. | Spring Sports Information |
|
Don't forget to sign up for spring sports! Go to the Hughes Academy Website for important forms including required Physical Form and Risk Form. These forms are also are also available in the front office.
The tryout/and or conditioning dates for Spring sports start on January 28th for those who are not playing basketball for the school.
Requirements:
7th or 8th Grader with signed physical form turned in
No current grades lower than a 75
No Out of School (OSS) Suspension Referrals all year long
No more than 2 In School Suspensions (ISS) Referrals during the school year
Pay a $10 Insurance Fee (Non-Refundable) Additional $17 will be needed if you make the team

Winter Wonderland Semi-Formal Dance |
|
The Hughes Academy Winter Wonderland Semi-Formal Dance will be held Friday, February 8 from 7-9 PM.
The dance is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
The dress code for boys is a collared shirt and slacks (jacket and tie are optional); for girls, semi-formal dresses or slacks. No jeans or shorts. Food and drinks will be provided, as well as a DJ playing all of your favorite songs. Souvenir pictures of you and your friends will be available for purchase.
Tickets will be sold the week of the dance for $10. They will be $12 at the door. You don't want to miss this fun evening!
