Greetings!
It seems like the last several newsletters have been works in progress. This one is no exception. We had to draw the line for articles to be submitted at May 16th. This newsletter reflects that. However, several items are still in flux and we have more information about some items. Keep an eye out for an updated newsletter, soon. Better yet- check our website, www.telcoretirees.org - for the most up-to-date source of information.
As always, we are looking for new members. So, if you know of anyone, please refer them to one of us, or send them a copy of the membership application.
On the good news side of things, we have added eight new members through the end of March of this year! (Look for the names of the new members to be published in upcoming newsletters.)
It is your Board's sincere hope that you all observed and celebrated Memorial Day. We salute and thank each of you who has served this great nation. If you haven't seen this video, please view it. It shows one of our own, Al Hansen, being interviewed on the Midway during a Memorial Day celebration: http://www.cbs8.com/story/25606085/veterans-honored-in-ceremony-aboard-uss-midway-museum

Telephone Concession for Out-of-Region Retirees
We have had a few inquires pertaining to the current Concession Plan being offered to retirees who live "out-of-region" (not residing within the AT&T footprint).
The current plan, "Block of Time 600 Minutes" was established May, 2005, replacing a $25.00 monthly compensation check from Acordia.
Retirees who moved "out-of-region" after May, 2005 are not eligible for the "Block of Time 600 Minutes" compensation. An audit was conducted last year verifying eligibility and letters were sent to those who were affected.
Additional information can be obtained by calling our Employee and Retiree Discount Group, 888-251-0645, 8 a.m. tp 6 p.m., Central Time.
