Students Across District Learn About Animal Habitat

First grade students across the district learned about animal habitat and demonstrated their knowledge at various events recently.  Alturas students shared their zoological expertise with a community of eager parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family friends. Alturas Principal Brad Henson wrote, "First grade students worked in pairs to pack the house, and present with pride their animal research projects to an inspired community at Alturas Elementary school. Presentations were done bilingually, including animal facts, habit information, animal adaptations, maps, diagrams, and clay models."

The results for this year will form a baseline for future years and will be tracked as part of the Strategic Plan .
