Board Approves New School Calendar: New Calendar Supports School Attendance and Starts Before Labor Day
At the regular February 9, 2016 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved a new school calendar for the next three years. The calendar supports school attendance, maximizes student participation in school-related activities, and maximizes learning time.  Read more.

Students Give Back to the Community 

Wood River High School students gave back to the community recently by offering computer repair and tech help to any interested citizens.  The Information Technology Academy held a community service event at the Community Campus.  Read more.
Dancers Inspire Global Giving
Footlight Dance performed for Blaine County schools, inspiring students to learn about both the art of dance as well as the needs of another country - Haiti.  Collaborating with the Silver Sage Girls Scouts, Footlight Dance encouraged students to donate shoes to children in Haiti.  Read more.
Students Teach Leadership Lessons
Carey School students in grades 7 - 12 taught students in grades 1 - 6 about Habit 3, "Put First Things First." The 7 Habits are part of the Leader in Me program. Principal John Peck stated, "It is inspiring to watch the older students teach the younger students life skills!"

Parents, Take the School Climate Survey by Monday, February 22
We want to hear from you!  Join the voices of over 200 parents who took the School Climate Survey.  What letter grade would you give your child's school? Results will be used to evaluate school-level performance and inform changes where necessary.  Survey closes Monday, February 22.  

Parents can find the survey three ways:
  • Email - look for the survey in your inbox later today
  • Website - find the link for the survey here
  • Paper - look for a paper survey at your childīs school
