Cami Bustos Selected as New Trustee
Five candidates applied for the Board of Trustees vacancy for Zone 2. The candidates were interviewed in an open meeting last Thursday, September 24 at the Community Campus. Watch the webcast here.
Cami Bustos was born and raised in Idaho and moved to the Wood River Valley in 2003. She met her husband, Carlos, that same year. She and her husband have four children, all of whom attend school in the Blaine County School District. She is the owner of The Sawtooth Agency in Bellevue, which opened in January, 2015. The Sawtooth Agency provides insurance and tax preparation. She is the founder of the Multicultural Business Expo, held in Hailey last August for businesses wanting exposure in the Hispanic community. She recently started becoming active within the community and enjoys connecting with members of the community. She stated, "I am committed to being able to provide a better future for my children and those in our community."
The five candidates were: Jeannie Bradshaw, Cami Bustos, Heather Colvin, Laurie Kaufman and Sonia Munoz.

Colleges visiting Wood River High School this month and next month include University of Idaho, University of Puget Sound, Quest University, Canada, Tufts University, Smith College, Bowdoin College, Colorado College and Willamette University.

Parents and Teachers: Take the Idaho Standards Challenge
What are learning standards? Learning standards describe what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. In Idaho, as in most states, standards are adopted statewide.
To increase awareness and understanding of the Idaho Standards for Learning in English language arts/literacy and mathematics, the Idaho State Department of Education is soliciting actionable feedback on the standards as part of their regular review process of academic standards that have been implemented.
