The Transportation Department maintains a fleet of large and smaller buses to serve our learning community. They employ dedicated professional drivers who make sure our students reach their destinations safely and on time. Many drivers are long-term employees who truly enjoy helping students get to and from school, attend field trips, and travel to athletic competitions.
New Ketchum Express Bus at Wood River Middle School
The school district is testing a pilot project this fall at the Middle School. Routes will run in the morning as they have in the past. In the afternoon, there will be an Express Bus to Ketchum. This bus will leave directly from the Middle School and go North to Ketchum.
The only stops along the way at this time will be
East Fork Road,
St. Lukes Hospital,
Sturto's in Ketchum,
Saddle Road,
and at the YMCA.
Because this is a pilot project, only the first 50 students will be allowed on this bus. Others not able to get on the bus will be able to ride the regular buses going North. Some regular buses have changed the location of their stops, so if you live North of Hailey, please check the schedule carefully.

Hailey Police Host Bike Rodeo

Does your child know how to bike to school safely? The Hailey Police Department is having a bicycle rodeo September 2nd from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Welcome Center Parking Lot in Hailey.
According to Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter, "We will have a road course drawn out for riders to navigate with crosswalks, stop signs etc. We want to teach bicycle safety to as many students as possible that ride their bikes to elementary and middle schools."
Be Safe, Be Smart, Be There!
Bonus!
Don't miss the Smithsonian Exhibition, "Hometown Teams" at the Welcome Center. Extended hours and special programs will be held in conjunction with the Bike Rodeo.
