Idaho Core Survey Results:
Majority of Blaine County Parents Who Took Survey Know About Idaho Core Standards

Over 400 parents responded to the Idaho Core Standards survey in October, representing the best response rate (16.8%) of any survey sent by the district to date.  Thank you to each of you who responded!

68% of parents who responded said they have heard of the Idaho Core Standards. Of those who heard of the Idaho Core Standards, 38% said they were either moderately or extremely familiar with the Idaho Core Standards.  We have always known that we have involved and informed parents, and this survey makes it very clear.  Read more here.

Model United Nations Ranked Nationally

The Wood River High School Model United Nations Club attended the Teton County Model United Nations Conference at Jackson Hole High School.  Adviser Joel Zellers (with chaperons John Galgano and Amy McGraw) took 13 students to participate in the conference representing the United States, Germany, Bolivia and Sudan.

The 13 WRHS students all performed well at the Teton County Model United Nations conference of 240 students from Idaho and Wyoming. They researched their countries and the issues, prepared their position papers, met in sessions for two days, and voted at the general assembly on the last afternoon.  To read about how students competed and the national ranking, read more here.
