New Website Features User-Friendly Calendar
The new website features a calendar that is user-friendly. The calendar can be found in the lower left side of the website. Users can hover over dates underlined in blue and a pop-up window will display the events listed for that date. Users can click on the event for more information. A month view of the calendar is also available.

Idaho Core Standards: Weekly Tip
Blaine County is excited to implement Common Core State Standards, known in Idaho as Idaho Core Standards.
Idaho Core Standards are a state-led effort to establish clear, world-class educational standards for English language arts and mathematics. In 2010, Idaho and 45 other states voluntarily adopted the clearer, higher standards in these two subjects.
The standards challenge students to read critically, write extensively and solve real-world math problems at greater capacity. We're excited to see the Idaho Core raise the bar for all students and increase the rigor of education in Blaine County.

Idaho Seeks Public Comment on Field Test Waiver
This spring, all Idaho public school students in grades 3-11 will be taking a field test of the new test aligned to the more rigorous Idaho Core Standards in mathematics and language arts.
Now is the opportunity for parents, teachers and other patrons across the state to provide comments and feedback on Idaho's plan to roll out this field test in Spring 2014. Read the full press release here.
