Students Benefit from Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant

Fresh Veggies

Woodside Elementary is one of 113 schools in Idaho to receive a grant from the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. To qualify, a school must have more than 50% of students receive free and reduced cost lunches.
 This program is a great way to introduce new types of fruits and vegetables to children - giving kids a great mid-day snack at school! 




Mountain Rides 

 

 

Throughout the school year, the Blaine County School District partners with Mountain Rides and subsidizes the cost for students and staff to use Mountain Rides.  

 

During the summer, students and staff pay the regular rate to use Mountain Rides. Please note the following information.

 

Beginning June 8th:

  • 3 month YOUTH passes $90
  • $80 if purchased before May 31st
  • Pack of 12 Youth one way rides $16
  • Pack of 24 Youth one way rides $28

Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program at Woodside Elementary

Veggies Thanks to The Hunger Coalition and Blaine County School District, The Lunch Connection offers free, nourishing meals to kids 18 and under throughout the summer.

Beginning Monday, June 17th, free lunch is available weekdays from 11am - 12 noon through August 23rd.   Hot breakfast is served from 7:30 - 8:30 am weekdays from July 15th   - August 9th.
 

Proposed Budget and Budget Meeting: Tuesday, June 11, 5:00-6:30 p.m.
 
 

The Board of Trustees and administrators welcome questions regarding the proposed Blaine County School District Budget prior to the budget meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2013. To view a draft of the proposed budget, go here.  

 

The Board of Trustees requests that all questions be addressed to Mike Chatterton, Business Manager at mchatterton@blaineschools.org  by Friday, June 7.  Questions will be answered in a timely manner prior to the June 11 budget meeting. Questions received after June 7, 2013 may not be answered due to time restraints.


The District is asking that the June 11, 2013 meeting be reserved for public comments only concerning the 2013-2014 budget. Questions will not be answered at the budget meeting. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in the School District budget process.
