Your Voice Counts: Teacher Performance Survey Launches This Week
Every parent has a voice in Blaine County School District's ongoing pursuit of excellence for all of our children. Only through close collaboration and two-way communication can we best achieve our mission of being a world-class, student focused community of teaching and learning. The Idaho State Department of Education requires that all teacher evaluations include parent input. The Blaine County School District worked closely with the Blaine County Education Association to develop a Teacher Performance Survey for parents.

Wood River Middle School: Then and Now
Eight years ago things were very different at Wood River Middle School. Discipline issues were on the rise and academic results were below state and district levels, especially with Limited-English speaking students and Special Education students. Today, the school is transformed. Board of Trustees Make Decision on Dual Immersion Program
At the regular Tuesday meeting of the Board of Trustees on January 15, 2013, the Board of Trustees voted to create a Magnet School at Woodside Elementary for Dual Immersion. The decision was the result of a two-year process involving all stakeholders. Superintendent Dr. Lonnie Barber anticipates that the Magnet School will open in 2014. Continue reading

Patrons Invited to Apply for Instructional Materials Adoption Taskforce
*Reminder - Deadline for Curriculum Task Force is January 31
Residents of the Blaine County School District community are encouraged to apply to participate in the Instructional Materials Adoption process for the Blaine County School District. Two separate taskforces will select instructional materials for the World Languages and Language Arts curriculums, respectively. The deadline to apply is January 31.
