Don't Forget to Tune in Tonight for President Obama's Speech on New Immigration Executive Actions

White House response to years of congressional inaction could potentially benefit millions of undocumented immigrants.

As you may have heard, tonight President Obama will make a speech from the White House addressing his administration's plan to implement certain executive actions related to immigration policy. After many years of promised changes to immigration law, each attempt by Congress to institute comprehensive immigration reform has failed.

While there are many questions about the scale of these executive initiatives, it will undoubtedly be a step forward for many people in the U.S. who have had no way to legalize their status and remain with their families. The promise of respite from the specter of imminent deportation will be most welcome among the millions of undocumented immigrants in our country.

The speech, scheduled for 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, will be broadcast through Univision and Telemundo, and will also be streamed live through http://1.usa.gov/1F4ej8l.
