"An Immigrant"
The riddle goes:
I carry dreams of a better day And memories that don't fade away I come from the sky, the sea, the ground I flavor Sam's stew and enrich his sound. Who am I? You're upset with yourself because you should have known it, right???
Immigrants come to the United States for all sorts of reasons. Whether coming for economic opportunity, to join family members, to flee persecution, or some other purpose, immigrants to the United States most certainly carry dreams of a promising future. Each one also carries a unique past. Immigrants come by plane, boat, car or foot. And they bring a wonderful mix of languages, art, food, culture, and history, thus making indelible contributions to Uncle Sam's melting pot.
