In August Zack's Place enjoyed canoeing and kayaking, boating on the Connecticut River, swimming at local swimming holes, we rode horses at Moonrise Farm, we played golf with Jim G. at Woodstock Country Club and visited Montshire Musuem.
We were artistic with Fiona from Purple Crayon creating all different types of art. We made clay pieces for our mosaic table with Christina, we knitted and did weaving with Renee and we worked on our culinary skills cooking our produce from our garden, Annie O'neill taught us how to make macaroons and whoopie pies. Also we learned how to make pickles at Billings Farm and now we even make our own Ice Cream. We cooked a lunch for some of our helpers and served vegetable dishes from our garden. Yum!
We did yoga with Tita, danced with Susan Picolli, moved to the music with Angel, we sang with Bonbon and Et and we attended brown bag concerts on the green.
An amazing guest speaker Lois Watson came in and talked about her life as a pilot. We read books with Jim Sadwith, Ron Jaynes, Tom Wright, Jan Weiner, Phil Swanson, Anthea Lavallee and Patricia Peters.
It is not all fun and games we worked too! At Billings Farm we weeded and maintained our garden, we delivered posters for Pentangle, we worked on inventory for our greeting card business and also helped clean and maintain our space.
