Simon's Corner
Last month we ran a photo contest guessing exactly where on our course this picture of Simon and his friend Bert was taken during their recent round of golf.
With no winner yet, we are extending the same contest into May. So to win a great prize, all you have to do is be the first one to correctly guess the exact location on our course that Simon and Bert took this picture together.
Post your guess on our Greenacres Facebook page to win a prize!

There are often a few fun, interesting, inspirational or just downright entertaining golf stories, pictures or videos floating around out there in the good old interweb. Our crack golf team here at Greenacres provides you a link to at least one of those great golf stories or videos every month within our newsletter.
This month's link is from an episode of ESPN's Sport Science series where they bring Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson into the lab and breakdown the science behind the two distinctly different ways they hit the ball further off the tee. While we may never hit the ball as long as either of these two we can still learn a lot about our swings, and be in awe of those that play this sport for a living.
Enjoy!

The Pace of Play Conundrum
-by Derek JJ Whipple Professional Golfer | Coach Instruction
With the recent slow play penalty being imposed on 14 year old Tianlang Guan at this year's Masters Tournament, it brings the issue of proper pace of play into the forefront of many golfers' minds.
We are constantly riddled with the odium of slow play. The players in front always seem to be waggling for hours, strolling rather than walking, choosing the wrong clubs repeatedly, and playing sort of a funeral game of ping-pong, on and around, the greens.
However, there are also times where the pace of play for some groups is overly quick, which can put some undeserved pressure on the group ahead.
To learn more about how we as golfers can be more aware and better navigate through the storm of poor pace of play click here.
Golfingly,
The Whip
