Under the Radar's Guest Host Has a Blast!
|
In October's Tidings, we wrote about special guest host Steve Dunfey, who gained an opportunity to spin Under the Radar--Big Band tunes with DJ Steve (Shervanian).
As you may recall, Dunfey was the delightful result of our fall Pledge/Membership Drive, from which we often discover fans who, for instance, as Shervanian said, "really, really dig what we, as a Big Band Show, are doing." Dunfey was one such fan!
 | |
Left to right: Guest Host Steve Dunfey and DJ Steve Shervanian
| So he sat in as a DJ on November 3, spinning tunes from his own private collection; music from artists including Harry James and Gene Krupa. He contributed tidbits and trivia about the artists, as well, which Shervanian said was greatly enjoyed by their listeners.
Dunfey thoroughly enjoyed himself, as the photo above reflects his love of Big Band Swing music.
Others are able to have such an experience (or with another show of their choice) by contributing the requested amount during one of our fundraising events. Folks can get a not only a warm feeling of helping your community radio station, but maybe even have an opportunity to sit in for a night of Big Band Swing Music!
And now, both Steve's say they, "Love you Madly!"
