I received a formal notification from one of our distributors that there will be yet another roofing materials pricing increase August 19, 2013 that I wanted to pass along. Please see below.
Roofing Price Increase(s)
"We have absorbed multiple roofing increases over the past few months. In our January Newsletter, we informed you about the need to pass on a 4-8 percent increase sometime in March/April but decided to hold off as long as possible.
Effective Monday August 19th
We will need to pass on a 2-5 percent increase with an anticipated similar increase in September. Please factor in these increases when pricing your roofing jobs."
I certainly hope this will be the last increase for quite some time but it's obviously out of our control.
