To our clients and friends:

I hope that most of you were able to attend our Fourth Annual Health Care Forum in September.  We had a great crowd, and a lot of very useful health care information was disseminated by the esteemed members of our panels, and our two featured speakers.  Be sure to attend the next South Florida forum, which will likely be in September 2015.

I also want to let you know that we are now planning to have an additional Health Care Forum in Orlando, likely in March 2015.  This forum will have different subject matters than the South Florida version, and I think that many of you will want to come.  You will be getting more information about this exciting event soon.

Please enjoy this edition of our Clinical Integration and ACO Alert!

Sincerely,

Mike Segal

CMS Unveils New ACO Investment Model to Support Healthcare Coordination
By: McKenzie Livingston

The Centers for Medicare & Medical Services (CMS) encouragers healthcare providers to participate in Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) through the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), which creates financial incentives for ACOs that lower growth in health care costs while meeting performance standards on quality of care and putting Medicare beneficiaries first.
